The Name Is Bootsy, Baby.

My trip to the record store this week was rich. Amoeba was graciously generous and I was able to indulge a little bit. Go ahead and skip to the jump at the end of the post if you just want to see what I bought.

Ahh…The Name Is Bootsy, Baby – Bootsy Collins

I’d Rather Be With You – Bootsy Collins

Can’t Stay Away – Bootsy Collins

I was stuck between buying Ultra Wave [do yourself a favor and see how great this album cover is] and this Back In the Day: The Best of Bootsy album. You can see what won out. It really did have all the jams on it.

I don’t really think it’s necessary for me to say too much about this guy or his music. It’s Bootsy! Enjoy! I will say that today was the first time I’ve ever heard “Can’t Stay Away.” Kind of ridiculous. Where has this jam been all my life?
