VIDEO – RIYL* : Dungen

I remember when Dungen came around with that weird, Swedish psych-folk pop album Stadsvandringar and then Ta Det Lugnt. He was all over Pitchfork and was getting all these great reviews from all the magazines I read regularly. I didn’t understand. It’s not that he makes bad music, it’s that it just seemed pretty average to me. I still have his albums in my collection, though. You never know when you’ll need it.

Fans of his will probably like Czech Republic’s Miou Miou. It’s just cute pop music in a different language. Their album La La Grande Finale was released two years ago in their country but just got released last month here in North America on Minty Fresh Records.
